The Withdraw button is grayed out on my wallet.
Sometimes we have to take wallets offline to perform maintenance. When this happens, you will see the Withdraw button grayed out, as withdrawals are temporarily unavailable.
  ↪ What is wallet maintenance?

You may also see this if your account has been disabled

A warning symbol appears next to the Deposit and Withdraw buttons.
Any wallet that has this symbol next to the Deposit/Withdraw buttons contains a notice for you to read. This does not necessarily mean that you cannot make a withdrawal, it typically contains information about the coin, such as supported contract addresses for ERC-20s tokens. If you see the symbol and the buttons are grayed out, this means the wallet is offline.

The status of my withdrawal is Invalid.
Withdrawal_status_Invalid.png

If the status of your withdrawal is Invalid, this means:

  • the crypto wallet address entered was not in the correct format (e.g. all ERC-20 wallet addresses start with 0x), or
  • the memo/tag/payment ID/message was incorrect

You will need to initiate another withdrawal, and be sure that the crypto address and any memo/tag/payment ID/message (only if required, but if NOT required, simply leave the field blank) are entered correctly, and are for the correct coin/token.

To learn more about what each status means, refer to the Questions section of this article.

The status of my withdrawal still says Authorized after a while.

If you see this status for longer than expected, it may just need extra time or require manual intervention from our wallets team who monitors these transactions throughout the day and pushes them through if needed. It should sort itself out shortly, but, if it has been more than 6 hours, please contact Bittrex Support so we can help.

The receiving end has not received the funds from my withdrawal.

The funds from your withdrawal will become a deposit to the receiving end. There are many factors that affect receipt of deposits. For more information, see our Crypto Deposit Issues and FAQ article.

Note:

This article mainly covers the scenario of depositing into a Bittrex account, however, there is some good general information about crypto deposits to be aware of as well.

With that in mind, let's make sure nothing is wrong on the Bittrex sending side:

    • The status of the withdrawal in your history should show as Completed, and there should be a transaction ID.
These are indicators of the withdrawal being broadcast to the blockchain successfully.

      mceclip0.png

      • If the status is Authorized or Invalid, please see the two preceding issues above. If the status is Pending, please review the Questions section of this article for what this status means.
      • If the withdrawal does not show in your history at all, please see Where is my withdrawal? in the Questions section of this article.

    • The transaction should be confirmed on the blockchain.
You can check this by copying the transaction ID from your Withdrawal History and searching for it on the block explorer. For instructions on how to do this, see How do I find my transaction on the block explorer? in the Questions section of this article.
      • If the transaction ID appears on the blockchain, then it is not a Bittrex issue. The recipient should wait until it has the proper number of confirmations required to credit the deposit (refer to Where is my deposit? in this article for more information).
        • If it does have the proper number of confirmations, then there is an issue on the receiving end.
        • If it does not have the proper number of confirmations, please hang tight, as there may be blockchain congestion.

            ↪ What is blockchain congestion?

          • If not confirmed after 1 hour, please contact Bittrex Support so we can investigate. Be sure to include the coin/token name and the transaction ID.
      • If the transaction ID does not appear on the blockchain, please allow some time for it to appear. If it has been 24+ hours, please contact Bittrex Support so we can investigate, as it is possible the withdrawal has orphaned (for more information, please see What is an orphaned withdrawal? in the Questions section of this article).

    • The address the withdrawal was sent to should be a receiving wallet for the correct coin/token.
For example, you can only send Bitcoin (BTC) to a Bitcoin wallet address. Please double check the address on the withdrawal. If it was sent to an address for another coin/token, they unfortunately cannot be recovered by Bittrex. You may be able to seek assistance from the receiving end.

    • The address the withdrawal was sent to should belong to the intended recipient.
Please compare the address on the withdrawal to that of the receiving wallet. If you send coins/tokens to a wallet that does not belong to the intended recipient, they unfortunately cannot be recovered by Bittrex. You may be able to seek assistance from the receiving end.

What are my withdrawal limits?
You can find your withdrawal limits on the web version under My Account > My Profile > Daily Withdrawal Limit. More information on withdrawal limits can be found here.

Daily_Withdrawal_Limit.png

Where is my withdrawal?

The withdrawal will not show up in your history until it is complete. Here are some possible reasons as to why your withdrawal is not complete, and what you can do:

  • The Bittrex wallet is temporarily offline - If you have a missing withdrawal and the Bittrex wallet is offline, please hang tight until the wallet is back online. Once the wallet is back online, your withdrawal should be processed.
  • There may be network congestion (or "blockchain congestion") on the blockchain - Sadly, we cannot control this, so please hang tight until it's resolved!

      ↪ What is blockchain congestion?

You can view your withdrawal history on mobile or web:

Mobile Web
  1. Log in to your Bittrex account.
  2. Tap Holdings.

  3. In the top right corner, tap the history_icon.png History icon.

  4. Tap Withdrawals.
Why is my withdrawal taking so long to process?

The time it takes to process a withdrawal depends on the speed of the blockchain of the coin/token, and sadly, we cannot make it go any faster, so please hang tight.

What do the withdrawal statuses mean?
  • Authorized - You have successfully initiated and authorized the transaction and our system is working on broadcasting it to the blockchain.
    • If you see this status for longer than expected, refer to the Issues section above.

  • Invalid - See the Issues section above.

  • Pending - The withdrawal is either in progress, or has not yet been authorized. You will see this status if we sent you a confirmation email to authorize the transaction.

    Note:

We only send these emails if Two-Factor Authentication is not enabled on your Bittrex account.

  • Completed - The transaction is completed, meaning the withdrawal has been broadcast to the blockchain, and the funds have been withdrawn from your account.
How do I find my transaction on the block explorer?
Simply use the search function on the block explorer to locate your transaction using the transaction ID (also referred to as TxHash or TxID).

ATOM_mint.io_explorer.png

To find the block explorer for a specific coin/token, simply search "coin name + block explorer" on any search engine.

ATOM_block_explorer.png

If you need any help finding your transaction on the blockchain or finding the block explorer for a specific coin/token, please contact Bittrex support so we can help.

Note:

If the transaction does not appear on the blockchain, we will not be able to assist.

What is an orphaned withdrawal?
Orphaned withdrawals are transactions that have been successfully created and have a transaction ID, however, the wallet software was unable to broadcast the withdrawal into the blockchain. This results in the coins/tokens being returned to the sending wallet, but this does not happen automatically. If your transaction orphaned, please contact Bittrex Support so we can manually credit your account and have you resubmit the withdrawal.
How do I cancel a withdrawal?
Click the red streamlinehq-interface-delete-1-interface-essential-14.png in the status column.

Cancel_withdrawal_1.png  Withdrawal_cancel_submitted.png  WIthdrawal_cancelled.png

Why am I being charged a withdrawal fee?
Each coin/token network has a transfer fee that is built in. In order to cover this fee, we need to charge a small amount to the user for withdrawals.

You can find this information in the Withdraw window:

Tx_fee_ATOM.png

Or, you can ask our Trexie bot (in the bottom right corner of the screen)!

Trexie_tx_fees_2.png  Trexie_tx_fees_3.png

Note:

If your available balance is not enough to cover the transaction fee, you will need to do one of the following:

  • sell the coin on the market
  • buy or deposit more of the coin to meet the minimum withdrawal criteria, or
  • if there is no market available, the funds will remain in the account but they will be unusable
The market for my coin was removed, how long do I have to withdrawal my coins/tokens?
We generally aim to provide users up to 14 days to withdraw any coins/tokens that are going to be delisted, but in certain instances the withdrawal period may be shorter. You should make sure to withdraw any coins/tokens before the posted withdrawal deadline.
