Here are some issues and frequently asked questions we receive about crypto deposits on Bittrex, and some helpful guidance:
Issues with crypto deposits
The Deposit button is grayed out on my wallet.
Sometimes we have to take wallets offline to perform maintenance. When this happens, you will see the Deposit button grayed out, as deposits are temporarily unavailable.

A warning message appears when I try to make a deposit.
Any wallet that has this symbol next to the Deposit button contains a notice for you to read. This typically contains information about the coin, such as supported contract addresses for ERC-20s tokens.
Some wallets may have a symbol and show you a warning message when you click Deposit. This may be because the coin/token is not available for trading in your locale, so you could still make a deposit, but the only other thing you could do with it is withdraw.

I forgot to add a memo/tag/payment ID/message to my deposit.
If you missed one of the deposit instructions (such as adding a memo/tag/payment ID/message), please contact Bittrex Support and provide us with the full transaction ID (TxID, TxHash). Without this information, we will be unable to credit your deposit.
I accidentally sent coins/tokens to an incorrect wallet address that is not mine.
If you sent coins/tokens to an incorrect wallet address that is not your own, they unfortunately cannot be recovered.
I accidentally sent coins/tokens to a wallet address for a different coin/token in my Bittrex account.
If you sent coins/tokens to one of your own wallet addresses for a different coin/token (also known as a cross-chain deposit), we may possibly be able to recover them, but there will be a fee, as outlined in our Deposit Recovery Policy. Please contact Bittrex support and provide us with the following information: coin name, the address you sent the coin to, TxID, and the amount of coins sent.
I deposited a coin/token that Bittrex does not support.
Bittrex cannot recover unsupported coins/tokens, with the only exception being unsupported ERC-20 coins (and there would be a fee as stated in our Deposit Recovery Policy). If you deposited an unsupported ERC-20 coin, please contact Bittrex Support for assistance.
My ETH/ETH based coin/token deposit to Bittrex says "Out of Gas" on the blockchain.
"Out of Gas" errors happen when there is not enough gas left to complete a transaction for ETH/ETH based coins. Bittrex will not have access to these funds, so we recommend reaching out to the source that you are withdrawing from, such as the other exchange or the person sending you the deposit for assistance.

My coin/token shows that it was "reverted" on the blockchain.
When a transaction is reverted, this means it was not able to be completed, and will normally be sent back to either your wallet, or the Bittrex Base address. Please contact Bittrex Support so we may review options for your recovering your transaction.
Frequently Asked Questions about crypto deposits
Where is my deposit?
The deposit will not be credited to your account or show up in your history until it is complete. Here are some possible reasons as to why your deposit is not complete, and what you can do:
- The Bittrex wallet is temporarily offline - If you have a missing deposit and the Bittrex wallet is offline, please hang tight until the wallet is back online. Once the wallet is back online, your deposit should be processed.
- The minimum number of confirmations on the blockchain has not yet been reached - Expand the next question, Why is my deposit taking so long to process? in this article for a list of minimum confirmations per coin/token, and expand How do I find my transaction on the block explorer? in this article for instructions on how to review your transaction. You can also find transaction details under Pending Deposits in your Bittrex account. Once your deposit has reached the minimum number of confirmations on the blockchain, your account will be credited.
- There may be network congestion (or "blockchain congestion") on the blockchain - Sadly, we cannot control this, so please hang tight until it's resolved!

- The transaction may have entered the blockchain with one transaction ID, and credited to your Bittrex account with another transaction ID (or TxID, TxHash) - This is common with minimum deposit coins such as ETH and the ETH ERC-20 tokens, WAVE tokens, and LSK blockchain tokens. Check your history for any transactions you don't recognize, and click to expand it and view the details just in case there's a new TxID for a deposit you are expecting.
- You may have sent your deposit to the incorrect wallet address - Please refer to the Issues section of this article for more information.
- You may have missed one of the deposit instructions, such as adding a tag, payment ID, message, or memo - Please refer to the Issues section of this article for more information.
- The minimum deposit was not made - If you did not meet the minimum deposit amount, you will need to make another deposit to meet the minimum. Refer to this article and expand the Minimum deposits section for more information.
In the rare event that your deposit is fully confirmed on the blockchain and includes all of the required information, but has not yet been credited to your Bittrex account, please contact Bittrex Support and provide us with the TxID so we can investigate.

- Log in to your Bittrex account.
- Tap Holdings.
- In the top right corner, tap the

- Log in to your Bittrex account.
- Go to Holdings > Deposits.
Why is my deposit taking so long to process?
The time it takes to process a deposit depends on the speed of the blockchain of the coin being deposited, and sadly, we cannot make it go any faster, so please hang tight. Here are some other factors that impact deposit processing time:
- each coin/token has its own minimum number of confirmations to be processed on the blockchain before the deposit is complete
- the time between confirmations varies
- confirmation times are dependent on the network of miners for a specific blockchain, and can also be affected by network usage at the time of the transaction (referred to as network congestion or blockchain congestion)

Once your deposit has reached the minimum number of confirmations on the blockchain, your Bittrex account will be credited. Here is a list of all coins/tokens and their respective minimum confirmations. You can also find this information through our Currencies API page. Use "Ctrl+F" to search the coin's name and "MinConfirmation".

How do I find my transaction on the block explorer?
Simply use the search function on the block explorer to locate your transaction using the transaction ID (also referred to as TxHash or TxID).
To find the block explorer for a specific coin/token, simply search "coin name + block explorer" on any search engine.
