To deposit Fiat (USD) via Bank (ACH) transfer to your Bittrex account, you will need to connect your bank account.
How to
To connect your bank account to your Bittrex account for ACH transactions, make sure 2FA is enabled on your account and follow these steps on mobile or web:
IMPORTANT!
The name on the bank account must match the name on your Bittrex account.
Some customers may need to re-connect their bank account to your Bittrex account every 30 days, as it will show "Validation Required" next to the bank name in the drop-down list for deposits and withdrawals.
- Open the Bittrex app and tap More > Log In and enter your credentials.
- Tap More > Bank Accounts > Add bank account.
- Tap Add Bank Account again.
- Tap Continue and follow the onscreen instructions using our Plaid integration.
- Search for and select your bank.
- Tap Continue, and you will be brought to that bank's page to authenticate. Follow the onscreen instructions, which should include logging into your bank's website, then receiving and entering an authentication code.
- Your bank's web page will then ask you to select the account you wish to connect to Bittrex, and to select additional information to share. Then tap Continue.
- Tap Continue.
- Read the Terms and Conditions, check the box, and tap Connect account information.
- Plaid will then ask you to select your desired bank account and tap Continue.
- Plaid will confirm the connection was successful. You can then tap Continue and be redirected back to Bittrex.
- Wait a moment while your bank account is verified and tap Continue.
- Your bank is now connected! If you would like to make a deposit via Bank (ACH) transfer, please refer to this article.
- Log into your Bittrex account.
- Go to Holdings > Fund your account > Bank account. A Deposit page will pop up, and Bank account should be selected.
- Click Get Started.
- Read the safety tips and check each of the boxes. Then click Proceed to making a deposit.
Note:
Making a deposit directly after adding your bank account is optional.
- Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions using our Plaid integration.
- Search for and select your bank in the Plaid window.
- Click Continue, and you will be brought to that bank's page to authenticate. Follow the onscreen instructions, which should include logging into your bank's website, then receiving and entering an authentication code.
- Your bank's web page should ask you to select the account you wish to connect to Bittrex. Then you will be redirected back to Plaid.
- Plaid will then ask you to select your desired bank account and click Continue.
- Plaid will confirm the connection was successful. You can then click Continue and be redirected back to Bittrex.
- Wait a moment while your bank account is verified.
- If you do not wish to make a deposit, click Cancel - and that's it! Your bank is now connected.
- If you wish to make a deposit from your bank into your Bittrex account, enter the amount and click Deposit now. Refer to this article for more information on fiat deposits.
To remove your connected bank account from your Bittrex account, follow these steps on mobile or web:
- Open the Bittrex app and tap More > Log In and enter your credentials.
- Tap More > Bank Accounts > Edit.
- Tap the Delete
icon next to the bank you wish to remove.
- Tap Remove Bank Account.
- Log into your Bittrex account.
- Go to Holdings > Fund your account > Bank account. A Deposit page will pop up, and Bank account should be selected.
- Open the dropdown menu under Select a bank account, and click the X to the right of the bank account you wish to remove.
- Click Remove bank account.
Once your bank account is connected to your Bittrex account, you can use it to buy crypto!

- Double check that you have selected the correct bank from the list.
- Be sure to use the correct login credentials for your bank.
- Confirm that your login credentials for your bank are valid by logging into your bank's website from a secure browser.
- It is possible that your financial institution requires you to acknowledge, through your online banking account, that you are using your banking information with third party apps.
Error message received | What it means/Resolution |
Couldn't connect to your institution. | This error code appears when Plaid is unable to complete the linking process between Bittrex and your bank. This can happen for a number of reasons, so it is best for you to contact us directly so we can investigate. If you need to make an immediate deposit in the meantime, we would suggest trying to link a different bank or using a different deposit method. |
Username or password incorrect. |
Confirm that your login credentials for your bank are valid by logging into your bank's website from a secure browser. |
Username incorrect. | This error code appears if you updated your username associated with your online banking account after the account was linked to your Bittrex account. Try removing the bank from your Bittrex account and add it again using your updated username. |
Action required with your account. | Requirements for linking an account vary between banks. Some require certain steps to be met before the account can be linked. To confirm this, try contacting your bank directly, or logging into your online banking account from a secure web browser to look for settings that allow you to share your data. |
Your account settings are incompatible. |
There may be certain account settings from your bank that prevent Bittrex from establishing a connection with them. Please contact us directly so we can investigate. |
