This week’s update includes relaunching Conditional Orders with new improvements to give more flexibility to traders. By using this feature you can instruct the system to place an order for you when a market reaches a target price. Some common use cases of this feature include limiting losses when prices drop or taking your profits when prices rise.
Conditional Orders will work similar to before with a few key improvements:
- Balances will not be reserved when the conditional is placed – this helps you to have more funds available to trade, but comes with the risk that a conditional order may not succeed when triggered if the funds are no longer available.
- Conditional Orders are shown in their own tables on Markets and Orders pages separate from the Open and Closed orders tables.
Before using Conditional Orders, we encourage you to learn more about how Conditional Orders on Bittrex work here.
