Qtum will be upgrading from an ERC20 token to their full mainnet blockchain which features an EVM-based smart contract platform and a proof of stake consensus model.
Users' Qtum Bittrex exchange balance totals will reflect the same total that they had prior to the swap in a 1:1 manner. The old Qtum tokens will no longer be supported or be traded on Bittrex.
Bittrex will re-enable trading Qtum tokens (QTUM) when we and the Qtum team agree that the migration is satisfactory.
Note: Bittrex will be closing our QTUM wallet and stop trading the token to take accurate snapshots of balances. If any QTUM deposits you had sent to Bittrex are not settled (e.g. marked as pending) by 6:00 PM PT, on 10/4/2017 (1:00 AM on 10/5/2017 UTC), you may not be credited with QTUM.
We would like to thank the Qtum team for working closely with us.
