On August 3rd, Bittrex had mistakenly listed district0x Network Token on our exchange. Realizing our mistake and before any orders were executed, Bittrex disabled and removed the market.
What happened?
We inadvertently listed DNT before a compliance review was conducted. The token should not have been made available for trade until a review was passed.
To give some background, Bittrex may require a compliance review depending on the nature of the token. This is mentioned in our Submitting a Coin to Bittrex article. We discuss this process further in our article What is a compliance review?
What now?
On August 7th, the district0x team put out a statement in their community Slack (attached to this article). We understand their concerns and have put the district0x listing process on-hold and we will not be listing DNT until completion of the compliance review. If you have deposited DNT tokens, please withdraw them by August 31st.
